Ruth Higgins

Position: Partner

Ruth joined the firm in September 2012 and became a Partner in the Firm in 2018. Ruth was admitted as a solicitor in 2010 and is a Chartered Tax Adviser. Ruth is a member of the Law Society Taxation Committee and the Tax Administration Liaison Committee (TALC) Collections and Audit Committees having past chaired TALC Audit in 2021, chaired TALC Collections in 2020 and chaired Law Society Taxation Committee in 2019 and in 2020. Ruth holds a Bachelor of Civil Law Degree from NUI Galway and an LLM Degree from Kings College London in Employment Law and Commercial Arbitration.

Ruth is also a Notary Public for the City and County of Dublin, Kildare, Meath and Wicklow having been appointed by the Chief Justice of Ireland in 2017 and commissioned for life. Ruth deals with estate and tax planning matters including Capital Taxes, Wills, Probate, Powers of Attorney, Wardship, Trust and Estate planning and Probate disputes. Ruth provides bespoke advice regarding capital taxes and the passing of wealth to the next generation in the most tax efficient manner.
